You may know Lulu Popplewell as "Anna Popplewell's little sister". Indeed she is, but it is high time we put Lulu on the same pedastal as Anna. Although they are very much different as sisters can be, Lulu has proved to be a plethora of talent in her own right, and is starting a budding music career. She invites you to check out her unique yet sweet sounds on her official Myspace: MYSPACE.COM/LULUPOPPLEWELLLulu has also recently done a few interviews for music magazines, here's one from Mouthy Music Mayhem: Are all your songs drawn from personal experience? Have you fallen for the wrong boy a few times? 'Most of the songs. I think a few times is a bit of an understatement. I'm the kind of person who always seems to make the wrong decisions somehow. But at the end of the day, life goes on, and I sort of think well if I can make a song about it at least that's something.' You were in the film 'Love Actually', how did that come about? 'That feels so long ago, I was 11 at the time, I just sort of fell into it I think. I went to this drama club from the age of 7 and when my sister started getting roles in things, her agent took me on as well. She was playing sweet little parts in costume dramas, while I was prancing around in a lobster suit; it's pretty much how we are off screen as well.' What was it like acting alongside big name actors such as that annoying little floppy haired err twerp err I mean excellent lovely example of an Englishman, Hugh Grant, the great Liam Neeson and the quite frankly beautiful, Keira Knightly amongst others? 'I won't pretend I saw a lot of them; it was such a small part. But I do remember shaking like a geriatric leaf in front of a hairdryer when I met Hugh Grant. I got the impression he wasn't hugely comfortable around children especially those dressed as crustaceans, but he seemed nice enough, as did the others.' With your sister being a successful actress would you ever consider acting full-time? 'Acting is what I have always wanted to do, along with music, which is a more recent ambition. Although I think the first part of that question is what really annoys me, everyone assumes that I suddenly want to act because my sister has been fortunate enough to, but that's not it at all. In fact, Anna has only just decided that she wants to act as a career, whereas for me it has always been what I've wanted. Don't get me wrong, I love her to pieces, but it can be easy to resent her sometimes. I think lots of sisters feel rivalry, no matter what about.' READ MORE for the whole article!
