You'd think with all the Narnia promotion Anna would be wrapped up with just that, but not our Anna, who is apparently in an Oxford play opening this month!

E-mail from a Producer, Jamie:

I was enjoying your Anna fansite and just wanted to write and say that I am producing the play "Spring Awakening" in which Anna stars. The play is somewhat darker and mature than Narnia, as a depiction of teenage children discovering their sexual identity. Anna is fantastic and is almost unrecognisable from her portrayal of sweet and innocent Susan.

The play is on at the Oxford Playhouse, Oxford from 28th - 31st May.

There is another Disney clip up on Disney.com (You're Watching -- Narnia: The Pevensies' Journey)

This is a really good clip IMO, as it shows more to the emotional side and character details of the movie, rather than just the action shots. You get to see the actual acting, which looks really good with all four children, Will having an especially intense role. Here is the transcript of Anna's part, from Narniaweb:

Popplewell: Allowing herself to adopt that more kind of warrior status is actually her getting more comfortable with herself and growing up a lot.

Thanks to Joanna, we also an exclusive look at footage from the ABC Narnia event. It seems as thought when Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe airs for the first time on ABC, there will be new clips with interviews from the cast!

Narniaweb: A tenth TV Spot for Prince Caspian has popped up on YouTube. There are a couple of new shots of Susan. One close up and one shot of Susan and Caspian kissing.



There is a preview of the official PC companion that hits stores the same date as the movie with some cool new quotes and info:

.."here they were, anticipating their forthcoming experience and joyously reliving the last one -- Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, in the guises of actors William Moseley (now a dashing 20-year-old), Anna Popplewell (a newly minted Oxford freshman), Skandar Keynes (with vocal octaves much deeper at age 15), and Georgie Henley (approaching teenhood, a good six inches taller than we last saw her).

"They've all grown up really well," Andrew beams about his young English cast. "It was nice to see them go back to a really normal life. They were excited about doing this again, and treated it like another adventure. There's change in very positive ways about growing up, but I'd like to say the movie hadn't changed who they are, which I'm really happy about. A lot of that's attributed to their parents. They've all got great parents."

"We're a really tight unit...a formidable four, you could say," quips Will, the eldest of the quartet. Adds Anna, "The dynamic among the four of us has pretty much remained constant, which is great. I know we'll all still be friends after the movie finishes."

While reflecting back to the beginning of the lengthy shoot, Anna was not surprised at the changes the cast experienced since they last worked together, over two years ago. Except, maybe about herself.

"What's nice is everyone has grown up a little bit and changed a little bit," she observes. "But, I've probably grown up the least, I'd say. Maybe that's just because I haven't noticed the change in myself." To which Andrew smiles and replies, "Anna's right. When I first met her, she was 13 going on 40. Now she's 18 going on 40."

Anna, Andrew Adamson and the rest of the Narnia kids will be at Barnes and Nobles in New York City, doing a book reading, signing and Q & A on May 5. This means Anna and co. will be flying to the USA sometime this next week! Details.

There's a great new interview by Rotten Tomatoes, in which Anna speaks about Susan's role this time around, the difference of Prince Caspian to LWW, and a secret attack she and Will have planned for crashing on the Voyage set! (Spoiler Warnings and best viewed in IE)

"I think there's a scene in Dawn Treader in which Lucy talks about Susan and they could do a flashback, but I've not been talking to them about it at all and I'm not attached to it yet. I think Will and I are going to do a planned visit and storm in and hijack the whole thing! Rewrite it!"

"We were all concerned about how he would fit in to our tight knit little family, so Ben had a lot to live up to before we'd even met him...He's a great actor, he's got such a great sense of humor. I can't really rave about him enough, he's just great."

I have scanned a bunch more pictures from the Companion Books, these ones from the "I can Read" series. Also, HQ screencaps of the latest trailer. If used, please credit!!

Also, PC is on the front cover of Nickelodeon magazine, as well as a few pages in Popstar!. I've scanned the Popstar scan, which has a few Q & A with the cast, including Anna. The Anna related-bit in Nick Mag is a new picture, but if someone could scan that one, and Anna's bit in the Official Companion that would be awesome! alexx@apopplewell.org
